Lots to announce today, it’s going to be a huge week. We are back again after our little snow day. It is fun to be in the dojo again after a day pushing shovels and building snow forts. As a reminder, all weather related closings are posted to our facebook page. If you have not already liked our facebook page, you can click this link.
First, Wednesday is the Women’s Self-defense class from 6:15 to 7:15 in the evening. Master Joan teaches this class once a month on the third Wednesday. If you haven’t been in for one of our self-defense classes, we cover a variety of topics on personal safety. This includes techniques to use in different attack situations, but also information to stay prepared. If you would like to attend the event, please click this link.
This week we are collecting canned food for our friends at St. Vincent de Paul. On Saturday we have the Dodge Ball Day from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm. We will play a ton of dodge ball, including games we don’t usually get to play during regular classes. The event is free for Black Belt Club members (are you a purple belt or above? do you want to be a black belt? Click here to learn more about our black belt club program). Everyone else is only $5. All students, their siblings, friends, and parents are invited to participate. We ask everyone bring a canned good. A list of the canned goods the kitchen needs most can be picked up at the dojo.
Last but not least, we are pleased to announce an updated schedule, now complete with extra family classes and Black Belt Club times. We have been announcing the upcoming change, it will take effect on Monday, February 23.
